The Seraphim 2027 Cohort Sponsor

Published on July 12, 2026

Description

The Seraphim Screenwriting Competition is CFI's annual search for the next great voice in Catholic cinema — a competition built on the conviction that craft and faith are not at odds but at home together. Past finalists have moved into development meetings with faith-friendly producers, received cash prizes earmarked for production, and stepped into CFI's growing community of working Catholic screenwriters.

The 2027 cohort is open to a single named sponsor. The $25,000 commitment underwrites one full competition year and renames the prize itself across all CFI properties.

Recognition:

  • Named title: "The [Org] Seraphim Award"
  • Masthead recognition on the competition microsite
  • Award presentation at the annual Seraphim ceremony (Sponsor representative invited to present, in person or virtually)
  • Featured story in the Journal of Catholic Cinema covering the winning script
  • Named recognition in CFI's annual report
  • Direct introduction to the finalist cohort for collaboration or development conversations

Range: $25,000 (full year)

Status: Open

Best fit: A studio, foundation, or production company seeking visible association with the discovery of next-generation Catholic screenwriters.
